STUDIO GEAR COSMETICS TRUE MATTE LIPSTICKS l REVIEW & SWATCHES

Studio Gear Cosmetics sent me these lovely True Matte Lipsticks to review. I just so happen to be a big lover of matte lipsticks so this was very fitting for me! I’m not going to lie I didn’t expect a whole lot but these really impressed me. They were kind enough to send me all 6 shades from the line.

Here is a little background on the company. Straight from the website!

"At Studio Gear, we believe in celebrating your true beauty. All 6 shades in order are True Nude, True Mauve, True Pink, True Magenta, True Red and True Plum. The shades are pretty true to the names. The Nude is basic nudey brown in color. Same with the Magenta. A bright purple and pink shade for everyday looks.

The description on the website states that the Ultra Matte are velvety soft, pigment-rich colors that wear long and stay true.  Luxe matte formula stays put, and feels pillowy soft . Minimal color transfer or need to reapply for totally confident wear.

The formula of these is quite velvety and sit comfortably on the lips. To my surprise they also didn’t dry out my lips either like some matte lipsticks tend to do. I was really pleased with how long they wore as well. Between 5 to 6 hours which isn’t bad for matted lipsticks!

This review is based on me using all of these shades for a 2 week period. I wanted to properly test them in different conditions.

RAW Boston: Evolution l WITH YOURS TRULY

My experience at RAW Boston can only be described as incredible! The people who organize these events every month really and truly understand what it is to be a starving artist. I’m very thankful and blessed to have had the opportunity to be apart of this group.

I met quite a few amazing creatives, handed out tons of my business cards and sold a couple of my first ever photo prints! I premiered my Black and White Series at this event which was pretty exciting. I've never had an opportunity like this before. Showing my work to a different audience and expose my name to potential clients. Feeling truly blessed about this experience!

In some ways I was totally nervous to talk to new people and expose myself as an artist but I wasn't going to let this opportunity pass me by. Fear is only a reaction to something that you are completely capable of handling. This is what I remind myself when I'm faced with things that make me nervous.

My support team consisted of my partner and my parents who drove from Connecticut for my showcase. Also, two of my amazing models came to show their support. I'm lucky to know such supportive people! About an hour before the fashion show, I was asked to come do a video interview which you can find at the bottom of this post. It was probably my first time being interviewed as an artist which for me is a big deal. I've accomplished something rather awesome, right. Real artists get interviewed!!

Overall, I had a great night. Below is a interview video with yours truly. Enjoy!
